Associate Professor in the Department of Government at the University of West Florida.
An International Relations scholar, my work has evaluated national security and grand strategy in the Carter, G.W. Bush and Obama administrations. My current book project carries this forward to the Trump administration. Stay tuned as my work expands into comparative foreign policy. My other recent work focuses on technology and policy change. Topics include cybersecurity strategy as well as my article in Diplomacy and Statecraft on early US technical assistance in Iran.
With over a decade in undergraduate and graduate classrooms, I am passionate about about integrating scholarship with discussion and current events. Explore my courses here. I, for one, think they're rather interesting!
